Our Services
Confidence, built in the community.
Compass Creative Arts is a community-based day program for adults with disabilities — a vendor of the Regional Center of the East Bay. Each day blends real-world community time, creative expression, and one-on-one mentorship.
What participants experience
Three things that compound — every day.
Confidence in the community
Showing up regularly in real-world settings — alongside familiar mentors — builds the kind of confidence that compounds.
A creative voice
Self-expression through art is at the heart of what we do. Every participant brings their own perspective, and we make space for it.
Real-life skills
Travel, conversation, money handling, decision-making — the specific skills that make independent days possible.
How we deliver it
What Compass provides.
Our services are designed to be flexible — meeting each participant where they are and growing with them over time.
Community Integration
Outings to museums, libraries, parks, and shopping centers across the East Bay — with mentor support tailored to each participant's comfort and interests.
Mentorship
One-on-one and small-group support from staff who learn each participant's strengths, goals, and ways of communicating.
Social & Life Skills Coaching
Real-world practice in conversation, decision-making, money handling, and the everyday skills that build independence.
Travel Training
Hands-on practice using BART and county bus systems, so participants can navigate their communities with confidence.
Art Activities & Tutorials
Painting, drawing, mixed-media projects, and creative workshops. No prior experience required — ever.
Transportation
Door-to-door transportation between home and program locations for participants who need it.
